About Fiercely Embraced
Fiercely Embraced, founded in 2023 by a survivor of domestic violence and post-separation abuse, is a dedicated organization committed to supporting women and children who have endured similar experiences. Built from real people with real life experiences, the organization was created to transform pain into purpose, bringing together women to share their stories, offer mutual support, and raise awareness about the often-overlooked issue of post-separation abuse in our communities.
In October 2024, Fiercely Embraced was honored with a Proclamation for Domestic Violence Awareness and Prevention from the State of Minnesota, recognizing its efforts to empower survivors and advocate for change. One of its other significant milestones was meeting with Governor Tim Walz’s staff to address post-separation abuse, reflecting its commitment to influencing policy and raising awareness at the governmental level. The organization also works to prevent homelessness among mothers and children affected by domestic violence and post-separation abuse by fostering collaboration with community partners.
The work of Fiercely Embraced is grounded in lived experience, ensuring that every program, service, and advocacy effort is informed by the realities survivors face. Its primary focus is to empower women and children to rebuild their lives after trauma, providing resources, education, and ongoing support to break the cycle of abuse and create safe, stable environments.
